Welcome to The Greater Canton Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission

About Us

HISTORY

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission is a 501c3 non profit organization.  In 2006, The Greater Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission established a scholarship fund which is awarded annually to a deserving student who is attending an institution of higher education.  We named the scholarship program in honor of one of our most avid supporters and fundraisers, Gene DeChellis, for his tireless work in raising funds to support this scholarship endeavor and continue the MLK Dream.
