Meet our 2021 Treasurer – Agatha Johnson

The MLK Commission has been blessed to have a treasurer with an extensive background in community service. Ms. Johnson retired from the Canton Municipal Court and immediately began investing her time and expertise in the Canton area. Ms. Johnson was a past board member of the Palace Theater, YWCA of Canton, The Players Guild and Community Services. She has served on the Outreach Advisory Committee Culture Center, Jane Hunter Civic Club and City of Canton Fair Housing Commission. She currently serves as the treasurer of The Greater Canton Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission, Chairperson on the Pro Football Hall of Fame Hotel Ambassador Committee, Pro Football Hall of Fame Museum Volunteer, Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce Enshrinement Festival Committee and the BCFHOP Hospitality Chair. Ms. Johnson is the widow of the late Clark James (Jimmie) Johnson, the mother of three children, Joseph, Courtney and Candice. She is a grandmother to three awesome grandchildren, Marcie, JuRael and Taylor. Welcome Ms. Johnson.
